TL;DR
Manager, Analytics Engineering (Healthcare) (dbt/Snowflake/Looker): Building governed, reusable, and scalable analytics assets through dbt models, semantic layers, and BI frameworks with an accent on data quality, metric standardization, and self-service analytics. Focus on leading an analytics engineering team, optimizing complex SQL over large datasets, and translating business requirements into reliable data products.
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio, United States; hybrid schedule with travel 3–5 times per year

What you will do
- Lead, manage, mentor, and develop a team of data visualization engineers and analytics professionals.
- Develop scalable, repeatable, and automated analytics engineering strategies aligned with business priorities.
- Own and evolve the analytics engineering ecosystem across dbt, Snowflake, Looker, and LookML.
- Define standards for data modeling, testing, documentation, version control, semantic layers, and BI governance.
- Partner with Data Engineering, Reporting, Analytics, Advanced Analytics, and business stakeholders to deliver trusted data products.
- Present insights to executives, establish OKRs, and improve time-to-insight and consistency of organizational metrics.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data visualization, data engineering, reporting, or business intelligence.
- At least 2 years of experience managing or mentoring a team or contractors.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data engineering, data analytics, or a related field.
- Advanced experience with dbt, Snowflake, Looker, LookML, SQL, data modeling, and BI governance.
- Experience with dbt best practices, including modular modeling, testing, documentation, and CI/CD.
- Strong communication, presentation, project management, problem-solving, and stakeholder-influence skills.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Python and experience with Tableau or equivalent BI tools.
- Experience with cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience with relational and cloud-based database systems.
