Structural Engineer (5+ years)

Location: Spokane, Washington, USA; hybrid work schedule; this position is not remote.

Salary: $92,000–$102,000 per year, depending on education, experience, and licensure.

What you will do

• Perform and oversee structural analysis and design for buildings and similar structures.
• Design lateral and gravity systems for low-rise buildings and structures with complex geometries.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders and manage project schedules and budgets.
• Oversee project drawing production in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Support construction coordination, proposals, and business development.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to new tools, methods, and client relationships.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of professional structural design experience.
• B.S. degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration required.
• Experience designing steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and light-gauge steel structures.
• Knowledge of the International Building Code and US design standards.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
• Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) credential.
• Mass timber design experience.
