What you will do

• Lead system-wide engineering activities and projects for generation facility control systems.
• Serve as the technical authority for DCS, PLC, control system tuning and troubleshooting, plant networking, and process instrumentation.
• Develop technical policies, procedures, standards, training, and mentorship programs.
• Resolve complex control system issues with plants and engineers and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Present complex technical subjects to senior management, professional organizations, regulatory bodies, and industry partners.
• Make technical decisions affecting system objectives and strategic direction.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of related engineering experience with a bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program, or 8 years of experience with a master's degree or PhD in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico is highly preferred.
• Engineering Technology bachelor's degree holders must obtain a certified Professional Engineering license to satisfy the degree requirement.
• A non-ABET bachelor's degree may be accepted with a master's degree or PhD from a university with an ABET-accredited bachelor's program.
• Ability to work in the Columbus, Ohio location and support generation facilities and engineering teams.
