R&D Intern (AI/ML)

Location: On-site in Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA

Salary: $22–$25 per hour

What you will do

• Conduct guided research with scientists on the External Innovation and Advanced Materials team.
• Develop and optimize adhesives for industrial applications across multiple technology platforms.
• Use AI/ML to support product development and long-range innovation.
• Conduct product testing and application evaluations using established laboratory methods.
• Evaluate new raw materials and technologies to improve product performance.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain project documentation.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or a related scientific discipline.
• Some experience in synthetic chemistry research.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary scientific teams.
