R&D Intern (Adhesives)

Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA; on-site

What you will do

• Conduct raw material and finished product characterization using laboratory testing methods and analytical equipment.
• Support adhesive formulation development through sample preparation, mixing, testing, and performance evaluation.
• Assist scientists and laboratory technicians with research, product development, technical service, troubleshooting, and validation projects.
• Collect, analyze, and document experimental data while communicating results accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with Analytical, Sourcing, Sales, and Technical Service teams to support project and customer objectives.
• Maintain a safe, organized laboratory environment and follow applicable safety procedures.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a related technical field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.
• Laboratory or research experience involving polymers, adhesives, thermoplastics, or related materials is preferred.
• Experience with analytical or materials characterization instrumentation is preferred.
• Participation requires working on-site in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
