Global Reward Lead (Compensation & Benefits)

Location: Any country where NRC has an operational presence, except Geneva and Washington, DC; an Employer of Record arrangement is available in France, Italy, Denmark, Finland, Spain, or the Netherlands. Travel of up to 20% is required.

What you will do

• Lead the pooled Reward team, including performance management, workforce planning, recruitment, development, and resource allocation.
• Oversee compensation and benefits delivery across country offices, NORCAP, and P&O Operations.
• Develop and implement pay scales, allowances, benefits, reward systems, policies, and operational procedures.
• Provide technical advice, business cases, and recommendations to senior management on reward matters and complex exceptions.
• Build reward capability through training and mentoring for P&O managers, country office focal points, and people managers.
• Manage reward data, benchmarking relationships, compliance mechanisms, and quality assurance across NRC operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration, or a relevant specialisation.
• At least 8 years of human resources management experience, including substantial compensation and benefits experience.
• Experience with global reward management, salary structures, benchmarking, job evaluation, and complex labour laws.
• Previous team management experience and a proven ability to lead organisational change and reward-related projects.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, database, statistical analysis, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in a humanitarian or recovery context.
• French, Spanish, or Arabic language skills.
