Automotive Technician B Tech (Automotive): Diagnosing and repairing vehicle brake, hydraulic, electrical, suspension, alignment, air-conditioning, computer, exhaust, and fuel ignition systems with an accent on accurate technical diagnosis and customer communication. Focus on solving complex drivability and electrical issues, mentoring technicians, and building ASE certification through paid training.
Location: 244187 W Des Moines, United States; onsite retail service location
Salary: $19.57–$33.47 per hour under a performance-based flat-rate compensation model. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is available for first-time hires.

What you will do
- Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air-conditioning, and computer systems.
- Perform automotive maintenance and tire repairs to specification.
- Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs to customers and other non-technical individuals.
- Assist with and train technicians and mechanics on technical activities.
- Maintain current automotive knowledge through paid formal training.
- Obtain or maintain ASE certification in at least three A1–A8 areas within the first two years.
Requirements
- Must be able to complete U.S. employment eligibility verification using Form I-9.
- Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
- Skills in brake and hydraulic systems and/or steering, suspension, and wheel alignments.
- Experience with general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
- Applicable federal, state, and local certifications or licenses.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly, with reading, writing, and math skills.
Nice to have
- Three years of automotive repair experience, relevant third-party assessments or certifications, or completion of a vocational-technical program.
- ASE certification in at least one A1–A8 area; L1 certification is acceptable.
