Software Engineer III (API/DevOps)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; home office at 815 Eleventh Ave

Salary: $117,000–$234,000 annually, plus performance bonuses and potential stock compensation.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, high-quality software solutions.
• Collaborate with product management, user experience, and other cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Lead small to medium-sized engineering projects and align delivery with business objectives.
• Troubleshoot production and business issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
• Build automation scripts that improve continuous integration and delivery processes.
• Monitor application performance and improve reliability and scalability while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area plus 2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Expertise in object-oriented programming and platform design.
• Experience with iterative development, continuous integration and delivery, API design, component services, and debugging complex systems.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and solve production issues.
• Ability to write documented, standards-compliant code and create, execute, and manage software tests and defects.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
