Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance

Salary: $33.00–$63.00 per hour, with possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour depending on schedule, facility, season, or work performed.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and major or minor repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures.
• Use multiple craft skills, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment maintenance.
• Lead assigned worksites as a job foreman, determine project scopes, oversee less-experienced associates, and provide hands-on technical training.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, contractors, parts inventory, purchasing records, warranties, invoices, and budget information.
• Operate, inspect, and transport vehicles, forklifts, industrial machines, and other heavy machinery while following safety and certification requirements.
• Ensure work meets Walmart quality standards and applicable federal, state, local, OSHA, and EPA requirements.

Requirements

• Vocational or technical certification and 3 years of experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related area; or 6 years of relevant experience.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions within the last 5 years.
• No more than two moving violations and no preventable commercial motor vehicle accidents within the last 3 years.
• No serious traffic violations as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations within the last 3 years.

Nice to have

• Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or similar office software.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
