Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration

Location: Lynn Haven, Florida, United States; onsite work across multiple or distant facilities may be required

Hourly wage: $29.00–$58.00, with possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Install, configure, calibrate, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC, refrigeration, building pneumatic, direct digital control, and energy management systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigerant, and operational issues across racks, walk-ins, reach-ins, and supermarket refrigeration units.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, refrigerant recovery and documentation, and repairs in accordance with applicable HVAC/R regulations.
• Coordinate service calls, workload, vendors, parts, warranty claims, work orders, and external service providers using digital scheduling tools.
• Drive company vehicles, perform service work at multiple or distant facilities, and participate in an on-call rotation for business-critical incidents.
• Lead field teams, mentor technicians and apprentices, communicate service outcomes to customers, and support training and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification plus 2 years of relevant mechanical maintenance or construction experience, or 4 years of relevant experience.
• Active EPA Type I and Type II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling.
• HVAC/R or mechanical journeyman qualification where required.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license, acceptable motor vehicle record, and compliance with commercial driving safety requirements.
• Ability to work with heavy machinery, follow OSHA standards, and comply with federal, state, and local HVAC/R regulations.

Nice to have

• Completion of a two-year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city or state where the job is located.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and office productivity software.
