Director, Advance Purchasing Programs (Semiconductor)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; relocation eligible

Salary: $160,000–$220,000 per year, plus potential bonus and stock awards.

What you will do

• Oversee the global implementation and operations of Advance Purchasing Programs.
• Establish and manage best-practice policies, procedures, systems, and processes for inventory forecasting, purchasing, and material control.
• Develop materials management metrics, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Improve warehouse operations, inventory management, staging, material handling, quality, and logistics processes.
• Monitor inventory accuracy across locations and establish inventory control and warehousing performance measures.
• Manage budgets, resources, employees, and cross-functional initiatives with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to achieve cost reductions.

Requirements

• Broad and comprehensive understanding of relevant systems, theories, and practices.
• Broad industry and commercial awareness applied to financial and operational performance.
• Experience leading through subordinate managers of managers and contributing to functional strategy.
• Ability to resolve highly complex or unusual business problems using advanced analytical judgment.
• Ability to negotiate and influence senior executives and external organizations.
