Senior Financial Data Reconciliation Analyst (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, New York, Portland, or remote within Canada or the United States

Salary: $171,000–$213,700 USD for employees in New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area; $153,900–$192,300 USD for other US employees; C$161,600–C$209,900 for Canadian employees.

What you will do

• Design and implement end-to-end reconciliations for products and funds flows.
• Develop data transformations, enrichment logic, and matching rules across internal and external systems.
• Monitor and investigate reconciliation exceptions, lead root-cause analysis, and coordinate durable fixes with Product, Engineering, Finance, and banking partners.
• Build monitoring, alerting, and reporting for reconciliation risks, trends, and operational metrics.
• Define reconciliation requirements and technical specifications for new products and funds flows.
• Support month-end close and audit readiness while shaping the reconciliation control roadmap and mentoring analysts.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience with complex transactional and financial data in fintech or financial services, including reconciliation, settlement, payment operations, or accounting.
• Working knowledge of ACH, wire transfers, RTP, FedNow, Visa, and Mastercard payment flows, including clearing, settlement, returns, and exception handling.
• Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience maintaining data transformation pipelines such as dbt.
• Strong analytical skills and experience investigating complex financial data discrepancies.
• Experience with reconciliation or matching tools, monitoring or BI dashboards, and tools such as Omni, Looker, or Tableau.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, mentoring analysts, and supporting audits, regulatory reporting, or financial-control testing.
