Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance

Location: Onsite at 3312 Preston Rd, Plano, Texas 75093, United States

Salary: $33.00–$63.00 per hour, with possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, cleaning, troubleshooting, and repairs for facilities, equipment, fixtures, and vehicles.
• Use multiple craft skills, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment maintenance.
• Diagnose issues using blueprints, schematics, repair manuals, parts catalogs, hand tools, power tools, hoists, and testing equipment.
• Lead assigned work sites, determine project scopes, oversee less-experienced associates, and provide hands-on technical and safety training.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, contractors, parts inventory, purchases, invoices, warranty claims, and budget reporting.
• Operate and inspect heavy machinery, powered equipment, commercial vehicles, and material handling equipment while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• Vocational or technical certification plus 3 years of experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related area, or 6 years of relevant experience.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions within the last 5 years.
• No more than two moving violations and no preventable commercial motor vehicle accidents within the last 3 years; no serious traffic violations under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Ability to perform physical maintenance work, operate heavy machinery, and follow OSHA, EPA, federal, state, and local requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
