Senior Functional Analyst

Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates from California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, or Washington will not be considered. U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary: $78,167–$103,855 per year

What you will do

• Lead the capture, analysis, documentation, validation, and change control of business, functional, technical, and non-technical requirements.
• Manage epics, sub-epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, backlogs, requirements traceability, testing, and defects in JIRA.
• Facilitate user interviews, backlog refinement sessions, Agile ceremonies, process modeling, and requirements workshops.
• Coordinate with customers, product and business owners, systems engineers, developers, stakeholders, and contractors.
• Track project risks, issues, metrics, dependencies, configuration management, and delivery status across the Agile product lifecycle.
• Serve as a product functional subject matter expert and mentor junior analysts.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance are required.
• Ten years of professional experience; a master's degree in engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline.
• Strong background in software development, Agile, SAFe, and Scrum methodologies.
• Expertise with JIRA and advanced experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving, research, and customer service skills.
• Experience with large Agile software development or data integration projects.

Nice to have

• Federal health agency experience, including VA, DHA, or HHS.
• Knowledge of the VA Veterans Independence Program, VA SQA testing, healthcare billing, or claims processing applications.
• Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master certification.
• Previous federal government experience and security clearance.
