Salary: $61,680–$92,520 annually

What you will do

  • Coordinate health and safety programs across designated plant operations and recommend procedures that improve workplace safety.
  • Conduct facility, production-area, subcontractor, and work-site inspections for permit, environmental, and safety compliance.
  • Prepare regulatory reports, permit applications, and permit modifications for hazardous waste and wastewater programs under RCRA and the Clean Water Act.
  • Prepare and implement Process Safety Management Plans and Process Hazard Analyses, maintaining supporting records and communicating requirements to employees.
  • Assess accident hazards and health risks, then implement preventive and corrective measures, safeguards, and personal protective equipment requirements.
  • Provide technical safety guidance and coordinate with regulators, Army personnel, site leadership, engineers, contractors, vendors, and plant employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety and Health, or a related scientific field.
  • At least 3 years of prior safety training or experience.
  • Strong environmental fieldwork skills and knowledge of environmental regulations.
  • Ability to interpret environmental, health, and safety regulations and prepare reports and correspondence.
  • Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, along with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, successful background screening, and ability to work regularly at the company office or work site are required.

  • Training or experience in environmental programs.
  • Explosive safety or environmental compliance experience.
