Health Benefit Rep (Healthcare)

Location: 100% field-based within Dutchess County, New York, United States. Required to work evenings and weekends. A driver's license is mandatory for non-NYC counties.

Salary: $23.23–$39.61 per hour

What you will do

• Educate and assist consumers with enrollment in Medicaid, Child Health Plus, the Essential Plan, Qualified Health Plans, and Health & Recovery Plans through the NY State of Health Marketplace.
• Explain eligibility, premium tax credits, cost-sharing reductions, metal tiers, deductibles, co-pays, and co-insurance.
• Support renewals, recertifications, document submissions, premium payments, and member use of digital tools.
• Track applications and leads, conduct follow-ups, and enter enrollment and consumer data accurately in the CRM.
• Deliver public education presentations and participate in ACA forums, workshops, and community events.
• Protect confidential information and comply with ACA, regulatory, privacy, security, and conflict-of-interest standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills and prior public speaking experience.
• Two or more years of experience in managed care, sales, customer service, or a related field preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.
• Must complete and pass the NY State of Health approved training program and all required annual recertification courses.
• Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred.
