Associate General Counsel (Corporate Legal)

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate vendor, marketing, technology, supply, and services agreements.
• Advise marketing, HR, sales, and business leaders on consumer compliance, employment matters, regulatory requirements, and risk mitigation.
• Manage consumer disputes, warranty claims, mechanic’s lien matters, litigation holds, outside counsel, and legal escalations.
• Support contractor licensing, registrations, bonding, corporate governance, entity formation, and multi-state compliance.
• Support mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, disclosure schedules, transaction documentation, and post-acquisition legal integration.
• Build scalable legal processes, deliver compliance training, supervise legal support staff, and serve as a key backup to the General Counsel.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree and active bar membership in good standing.
• 10+ years of legal experience, preferably combining law firm and in-house counsel experience.
• Expertise in commercial contracting, employment law, corporate governance, compliance, and risk management.
• Experience managing litigation, outside counsel, and regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong leadership, executive partnership, communication, negotiation, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance legal risk with business objectives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
