TL;DR
Rotating Fleet Technician I or II (Fleet Maintenance): Inspecting, servicing, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles, trailers, aerial equipment, and power-operated equipment with an accent on electrical, hydraulic, air conditioning, gasoline, and diesel systems. Focus on performing complex repairs, maintaining fleet safety and reliability, and handling physically demanding garage and field work.

Location: Winona, Minnesota; must live within 20 miles of the Service Center. Primarily based in company service garages with occasional field work.

Salary: $44.21–$52.93 per hour.

What you will do

  • Inspect, service, maintain, diagnose, and repair vehicles, trailers, aerial equipment, and power-operated equipment.
  • Perform minor and major repairs on electrical, hydraulic, air conditioning, gasoline, and diesel systems.
  • Work in service garages and occasionally at field job sites.
  • Handle frequent lifting of more than 50 pounds and prolonged standing.
  • Work independently and collaboratively while maintaining strong safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two-year technical, vocational, or trade school diploma in automotive, truck, or heavy equipment service and repair, or five years of verifiable relevant experience.
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License Class A, or the ability to obtain one within six months of employment.
  • Current Minnesota annual vehicle inspector certification, or the ability to obtain it.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English, perform basic mathematics, and use basic computer tools.
  • Ability to routinely lift 50 or more pounds and provide standard and metric tools required by the Fleet department.

Nice to have

  • Fluid Power Society certification.
  • ASE certification.
  • Experience with testing or assessment processes.
