Buyer (Manufacturing)

Location: Columbus, Nebraska, United States, or Niagara Falls, New York, United States; onsite role.

What you will do

• Enter purchase orders into SAP and place orders with vendors.
• Investigate suppliers and products and issue requests for quotation.
• Procure materials, parts, components, equipment, and services.
• Plan and adjust supply schedules to support uninterrupted production.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and manage supplier improvement projects.
• Support other Dale division locations as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
• Five or more years of purchasing and supplier management experience preferred.
• Effective communication with internal and external customers.
• Strong negotiation skills in a manufacturing environment.
• Access to export-controlled information requires qualification as a U.S. Person, including a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, Outlook, and mainframe systems.
