What you will do

• Manage purchase orders from requisition through delivery for direct materials and subcontracted services.
• Process supplier acknowledgements, MRP action messages, returns, invoice holds, and purchase order updates in ERP systems.
• Conduct RFQs, supplier selection, benchmarking, and structured price negotiations.
• Coordinate supplier expediting, onboarding, performance tracking, and relationship management.
• Optimize lead times, inventory, pricing, and direct material costs.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and maintain purchasing standard work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, with mechanical metal experience required.
• Experience with purchasing techniques, logistical supply chain processes, and MRP systems.
• Knowledge of sourcing mechanical components such as gauges, transmitters, piping components, pumps, coolers, accumulators, and motors.
• Excellent customer service, communication, relationship management, and negotiation skills.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

• Experience sourcing fabricated API plans, spools, skids, and auxiliary systems.
