Data Governance Advisor - Forsyth Health - Remote (AI)

Annual salary: $98,200–$163,600 USD, depending on experience and geographic location. Eligible for an annual bonus plan.

What you will do

• Advance enterprise data governance initiatives that improve data trust, transparency, ownership, and accountability.
• Define and govern business terms, technical metadata, critical data elements, data lineage, and ownership structures with business and technology stakeholders.
• Administer and enhance governance platforms such as Collibra, including cataloging, metadata management, stewardship workflows, policy management, and adoption.
• Build data quality monitoring and automated validation solutions using SQL, Python, Databricks, and cloud analytics platforms.
• Investigate root causes of data quality issues and implement sustainable solutions with data engineering, analytics, and business teams.
• Develop governance standards, metrics, dashboards, documentation, and leadership communications while evaluating responsible uses of agentic and generative AI.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, data quality, metadata management, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience with large-scale healthcare data, including claims, pharmacy, eligibility, provider, or clinical data.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience using Python for analysis, automation, monitoring, or governance workflows.
• Experience with Databricks or a comparable cloud analytics platform and with Collibra, Alation, Informatica, or a similar governance solution.
• Working knowledge of data stewardship, metadata management, business glossaries, data lineage, policy governance, and data quality practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, data science, business analytics, healthcare informatics, or a related field.
• Experience with HIPAA, PHI, and PII requirements in healthcare organizations.
• Experience with agentic AI, generative AI, AI governance, AI-enabled workflow automation, Unity Catalog, data lineage solutions, or modern cloud data ecosystems.
• Experience with anomaly detection, governance scorecards, councils, or stewardship forums.
