Travel Compression Mechanic (CNG)

What you will do

• Inspect and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in CNG compressors.
• Perform routine maintenance and complex repairs on CNG engines, fuel systems, vehicle systems, and compressor components.
• Install, repair, and maintain CNG fuel systems, storage tanks, regulators, pressure gauges, and related equipment.
• Conduct emissions testing and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain detailed service records, troubleshoot technical problems, and coordinate work with mechanics and supervisors.
• Recommend and implement equipment upgrades or retrofits while maintaining strict safety practices.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of compressor experience, ideally involving electric motors, engines, and compressors.
• High school diploma or equivalent, with formal automotive mechanics or related technical training.
• Experience performing alignments and using diagnostic equipment to interpret diagnostic codes.
• Knowledge of CNG fuel systems, engine components, vehicle electronics, and applicable safety regulations.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and parts regularly, with the physical stamina and dexterity required for mechanical work.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Specialized training in CNG systems and technologies.
• Experience in automotive repair shops, gas stations, or fleet maintenance facilities.
