Regional Head of Health, Safety & Environmental (EMEA)

Location: Hybrid role for candidates residing within a commutable distance of Bath, Leeds, or Manchester, United Kingdom; travel up to 30% across the EMEA region.

What you will do

• Lead implementation of the global HSE strategy across the EMEA region.
• Partner with regional leaders to manage critical risks, strengthen accountability, and embed HSE into business planning and operational improvement.
• Provide expert advice on occupational safety, process safety, environmental protection, investigations, regulatory matters, and stakeholder engagement.
• Implement global HSE standards and support compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001 requirements.
• Conduct regional audits, inspections, assurance activities, performance monitoring, and trend analysis.
• Facilitate best-practice sharing, training, coaching, mentoring, and continuous improvement across regional teams.

Requirements

• Residence within a commutable distance of Bath, Leeds, or Manchester is required.
• Experience in operational or field-service leadership within high-hazard or critical-risk industries such as engineering, manufacturing, energy, oil and gas, power generation, chemicals, or construction.
• HSE experience developed from the ground up, supported by relevant HSE or engineering qualifications or a relevant degree.
• Recognised health and safety qualification, such as a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience developing and improving ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems, conducting audits, leading incident investigations, and applying root cause analysis.
• Ability to travel up to 30% of working time across the EMEA region.
