Machine Process Technician (Heavy Industrial)

Location: Hanover, New Hampshire, United States; onsite at 21 Great Hollow Road

Salary: $25.63–$42.71 per hour

What you will do

• Support manufacturing process engineers with tooling, fixtures, workstations, and new product introduction.
• Set up test and data acquisition equipment, conduct tests, and document results using computerized records, Excel, or Minitab.
• Monitor production quality metrics and support root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
• Investigate and purchase equipment and tooling while contributing to process technology road maps.
• Program and support automation across assembly, packaging, smart press, robotics, friction welding, laser, wash, and machine-tending operations.
• Troubleshoot fault signals, positioning errors, vision systems, and parts-handling issues; support line changeovers and tool or fixture adjustments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• 5–8 years of machining and/or machine programming experience.
• Machine process diagnosis skills and strong knowledge of mechanical and electronic measuring equipment.
• Advanced GD&T reading skills, manual G-code programming ability, and knowledge of cutting tool geometries, grades, and coatings.
• Ability to read system and circuit schematics and understanding of microcontroller-based products.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Minitab, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with advanced machining, process improvement, tool selection, and varied machine types.
• Ability to operate manual and CNC machine tools.
• Experience with CAM and CAD software, including SolidWorks.
• Esprit programming experience and knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools.
