Production/Manufacturing Technician

Location: Chatsworth, CA; on-site. Second shift: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM.

What you will do

• Set up, operate, support, and maintain Roboform production cells.
• Cut, load, and unload large sheet-metal materials and formed parts using shears, electromechanical clamping systems, and HMI controls.
• Perform trimming, deburring, grinding, coating, and other secondary finishing operations.
• Record work-order progress, material usage, and deviations in ERP systems for production traceability.
• Follow standardized processes and provide feedback on tooling and workflow improvements.
• Support cross-training and help train team members as production scales.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of fabrication-related experience, such as machining, welding, fitting, or aerospace structures.
• Proficiency with common hand and power tools and the ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and geometric tolerances.
• Basic computer skills, including ERP systems, Outlook, Teams, and common productivity tools.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical work, stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Must be available for the second shift and pass background screening requirements, including ITAR compliance.

Nice to have

• Three or more years of mechanical fabrication or production experience.
• Sheet-metal forming, finishing, and fit-up experience.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, CNC equipment, forklifts, or large-material handling.
• Basic electrical wiring knowledge and familiarity with sensors, PLCs, or industrial systems.
