Manager, Project Controls (AI)

Location: Columbia, SC or Washington, DC, United States

Salary: $118,000–$140,000 annually, paid bi-weekly

What you will do

• Implement and maintain project controls frameworks for major nuclear and energy projects.
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of project controls professionals.
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and critical path analysis.
• Establish budgets, monitor expenditures, manage cost variances, and identify savings opportunities.
• Manage project risks, earned value measurement, status reporting, KPIs, and variance analysis.
• Control changes to project scope, schedule, and budget while driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in project controls or project management, preferably in nuclear energy or large-scale EPC environments.
• Experience delivering complex projects and managing project costs.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with industry-standard project management software and project controls standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.

Nice to have

• PMP certification or equivalent.
• Experience using AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics for cost forecasting, schedule optimization, risk analysis, earned value management, variance analysis, or automated reporting.
