Licensed Optician - Assistant Manager

Salary: USD 26.95–38.58 per hour

What you will do

• Drive sales, profitability, performance goals, operating costs, budgets, and resource planning.
• Oversee the eyeglass department, ensuring efficient operations, policy compliance, quality standards, and continuous improvement.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure associates meet service expectations.
• Execute merchandising, marketing, pricing promotions, and brand initiatives.
• Supervise, motivate, coach, and develop opticians and customer-facing associates.
• Support staffing forecasts, recruiting, selection, retention, and apprentice optician mentoring where permitted by law.

Requirements

• Maintain an optical license as required by the state.
• Optical sales experience; supervisory experience is preferred.
• Ability to lead, coach, and build strong associate relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze and understand financial reports and monitor progress toward goals.
• ABO and NCLE certification.
