(USA) Vision Center Manager NL 1 (Optical Retail)

Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States; onsite at 9350 Cortana Place.

Salary: $22.50–$32.50 per hour, plus potential performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Drive Vision Center sales through merchandise presentation, competitive pricing, inventory availability, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of economic and community needs.
• Supervise, hire, train, mentor, assign, recognize, and develop Vision Center associates.
• Provide optical services by consulting customers, selecting eyewear, taking measurements, verifying prescriptions, performing minor frame repairs, and maintaining optical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, safety controls, asset protection standards, confidentiality requirements, and quality assurance processes.
• Resolve customer and associate concerns through Walmart’s service standards and Open Door Policy.
• Build community relationships, support company initiatives, and drive continuous operational improvement.

Requirements

• Completion of two or more years of college, or one year of retail experience plus one year of supervisory experience, or two years of general work experience including one year of optical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and rules.
• Experience leading and developing associates is relevant to the role.
