What you will do

• Support the design, analysis, and implementation of civil engineering projects under the guidance of a licensed professional engineer.
• Prepare technical reports, studies, project documentation, and governmental permitting packages.
• Assist with planning and design for water distribution and wastewater collection systems, including hydraulic modeling and simulation.
• Support the design of small wastewater treatment facilities and review contractor submittals against project specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineering technicians, and multidisciplinary teams to develop engineering solutions.
• Maintain permitting and submittal logs and respond to requests for additional information.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
• EIT certification or the ability to obtain it within 12 months of the start date.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, and procedures.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with overtime as needed.

Nice to have

• Internship experience with a civil design firm.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
