Nutrition Education Associate (Nutrition Education): Teaching evidence-based nutrition, food safety, food resource management, and physical activity lessons to low-income adults and youth in community settings with an accent on culturally sensitive instruction, food demonstrations, and virtual delivery. Focus on recruiting participants, tracking program data, coordinating community-based education, and traveling between work sites in Tarrant County.
Location: Fort Worth, Texas; daily travel to multiple work sites in the county is required
Salary: $18.71/hour

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service delivers the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program through county extension offices and community partnerships across Texas.
What you will do
- Recruit adults and youth who meet program guidelines.
- Teach evidence-based lessons on nutrition, food resource management, food safety, and physical activity in person and virtually.
- Prepare food and lead recipe demonstrations for program participants.
- Collect, track, and report program data and maintain accurate activity records.
- Assist with mentoring and training Nutrition Education Assistants when needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least six months of related experience working with youth and/or adults.
- Experience teaching groups and working with low-resource audiences or community support networks.
- Knowledge or teaching experience in nutrition, food safety, food resource management, and physical activity.
- Computer skills with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, plus working knowledge of Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams.
- Reliable transportation is required; a valid driver’s license and current liability insurance are preferred.

- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
- Familiarity with the local community.
