Regional Head of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)

Location: Hybrid; must reside within a commutable distance of Bath, Leeds, or Manchester, United Kingdom. Requires travel of up to 30% across the EMEA region.

What you will do

• Lead implementation of the global HSE strategy across the EMEA region and partner with regional business leaders.
• Oversee critical risks and controls, strengthening occupational safety, process safety, environmental protection, and organisational resilience.
• Provide expert guidance on HSE systems, investigations, regulatory matters, stakeholder engagement, and operational improvement.
• Implement global standards and support compliance with regulatory requirements and ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001.
• Conduct regional audits, inspections, assurance activities, reporting, and performance monitoring.
• Facilitate collaboration, share best practices, and coach and mentor local HSE teams.

Requirements

• Must be based within commuting distance of Bath, Leeds, or Manchester.
• Experience leading operational or field-service operations in high-hazard or critical-risk industries such as engineering, manufacturing, energy, oil and gas, power generation, chemicals, or construction.
• Strong knowledge of occupational safety, process safety, critical risk management, and critical control implementation and assurance.
• HSE or engineering qualification, relevant degree, or equivalent experience developed from the ground up; NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience implementing and improving ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems, supported by audit and assurance experience.
• Experience with business partnering, incident investigations, root cause analysis, HSE reporting systems, performance data, and digital tools.
