Senior Systems Administrator

Location: On-site in Romeoville, Illinois, United States

Salary: $96,555–$128,577 annually, plus eligibility for a quarterly incentive pay program.

What you will do

• Administer and optimize enterprise Windows and Linux server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, and patching.
• Manage virtualization, hyperconverged infrastructure, storage, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery platforms.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex infrastructure, server, storage, and performance issues.
• Develop infrastructure standards, roadmaps, documentation, lifecycle plans, and resiliency processes.
• Lead infrastructure projects from requirements and solution design through implementation, testing, documentation, and operational transition.
• Partner with cybersecurity and IT teams on secure configurations, vulnerability remediation, privileged access, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• On-site work in Romeoville, Illinois, United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in enterprise systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or a related technical role.
• Advanced Microsoft Windows Server experience and strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, service accounts, and privileged access.
• Experience with Linux servers, enterprise virtualization, storage, backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and infrastructure project delivery.
• Experience with PowerShell, scripting, automation, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with Nutanix virtualization and hyperconverged infrastructure.
• Experience with Cohesity or comparable enterprise backup and recovery platforms.
• Microsoft SQL Server administration experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, hybrid cloud, infrastructure automation, monitoring, or configuration management.
• Experience supporting infrastructure in a multi-site manufacturing environment or relevant infrastructure certifications.
