Commercial Construction Superintendent - Mission Critical

Location: Santa Clara, California, with an initial assignment in Colorado Springs and extensive travel to project locations. On-site work requires extended hours, weekends, alternate shifts, or scheduled rotations as needed.

Salary: $108,900–$165,770 per year. Compensation may vary by city and state.

What you will do

• Direct daily field operations for data center and Mission Critical construction projects.
• Lead site safety, quality control, construction sequencing, logistics, inspections, and subcontractor performance.
• Coordinate structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, life-safety, and technology scopes.
• Oversee electrical distribution, emergency power, generators, UPS systems, cooling equipment, and controls.
• Partner with the project manager on schedules, look-ahead plans, recovery plans, risks, documentation, and long-lead equipment.
• Coordinate equipment startup, energization, testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing, punch-list, closeout, and owner acceptance.

Requirements

• Five or more years of commercial construction experience with a general contractor.
• Required direct field leadership experience on data center or Mission Critical projects.
• Previous experience as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or field project leader.
• Experience coordinating complex MEP, controls, life-safety, and technology systems, including data center sequencing, commissioning, testing, turnover, and quality control.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Procore, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including extended assignments in Colorado Springs and future project locations. Ability to walk or stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• A four-year degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or business; relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
• OSHA 30 certification.
