Preconstruction Manager (Mission Critical)

What you will do

• Manage projects from initial estimates through subcontractor finalization.
• Develop detailed conceptual cost estimates and studies from schematic-level documentation.
• Lead bidding, trade partner management, permitting, and site mobilization activities.
• Provide innovative solutions and communicate with clients, project teams, and external partners.
• Build and maintain client and business relationships.
• Lead and mentor preconstruction staff, with possible supervision of engineers, assistant project managers, project engineers, and interns.

Requirements

• 8+ years of construction project management experience, including 5 years in commercial construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering is preferred; equivalent strong experience may be considered.
• Experience preparing detailed conceptual estimates and studies.
• Knowledge of construction costs, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, engineering principles, drawings, specifications, contracts, and construction methods.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, take-off software such as On-Screen Takeoff, project management software such as CMiC, and scheduling software such as Microsoft Project.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, project management, and interpersonal skills.
