Architectural Designer II (Life Sciences)

Salary: USD 70,000–95,000 yearly

What you will do

• Develop design and construction models using Revit or other BIM software.
• Produce floor and ceiling plans, elevations, sections, details, and related documentation.
• Prepare drawings from architectural markups and review them against documentation standards.
• Coordinate architectural designs with engineering and construction personnel.
• Support field investigations, information gathering, drawing reviews, coordination meetings, and quality checks.
• Assist with studies, presentations, and reports across programming, planning, concept development, and construction documentation.

Requirements

• At least three years of professional experience.
• Accredited professional degree in Architecture, such as B.Arch, M.Arch, or D.Arch, or an equivalent qualification; an associate degree or technical trade school certification is also accepted.
• Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office.
• Experience developing, coordinating, and executing architectural design and documentation.
• Ability to work in Rockville, Maryland, USA, with moderate travel for project or training activities.

Nice to have

• Experience with Enscape, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• LEED accreditation, WELL certification, or similar sustainability credentials.
• Experience with advanced technology industry projects, including R&D laboratories, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, food and nutrition, or consumer products facilities.
