Facility Technician Co-Op

Location: Rockrimmon, Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; on-site facility work, including outdoor work and all-weather conditions.

Salary: $20–$30 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot building equipment, including HVAC, boiler, and compressor systems.
• Work with and understand the Building Management System (BMS).
• Fabricate special one-off solutions for specific applications.
• Repair or build building infrastructure, including walls, ceilings, and painted surfaces.
• Perform minor repairs on forklifts, garage doors, lighting, plumbing, flooring, electronic systems, and grounds.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a student in a trade school or college program.
• Studying electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• Available to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., from January through June.
• Must meet university requirements for participation in a co-op program.
• Must be able to use ladders, lift more than 50 pounds, and work outdoors and in all weather conditions when necessary.
