Senior Director, Model and AI Review (AI Governance)

Location: Hybrid; on-site three days per week at offices in Bethesda, MD; New York, NY; or Cleveland, OH.

Annual salary: $195,000–$315,000

What you will do

• Build and manage a team responsible for hirify.global’s model and AI governance program, including frameworks, policies, and processes.
• Partner with business, technology, legal, compliance, and risk stakeholders to embed responsible AI practices across the company.
• Maintain the enterprise inventory of AI and ML models throughout their lifecycles.
• Assess AI-related risks, recommend mitigation strategies and controls, and advise on AI system review processes.
• Lead committees and forums that promote transparency, collaboration, and accountability for AI initiatives.
• Monitor and test controls, support audits and regulatory inquiries, and deliver training on responsible AI and governance requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Risk Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or governance involving AI, technology, or data.
• Technical understanding of AI/ML use cases, platforms, and models, including Generative AI.
• Experience with compliance testing, monitoring, audits, model risk assessments, risk oversight, or AI governance programs.
• Strong understanding of AI technologies, regulatory frameworks, and ethical considerations in AI development and deployment.
• Exceptional collaboration, communication, strategic, and leadership skills.
