Critical Environments Operator III (Data Center)

Location: Allen, Texas, United States; onsite role with availability for 24/7/365 operations, emergency corrective maintenance, and extended onsite hours during emergencies.

What you will do

• Perform operations and maintenance activities for data center and assigned non-data-center facilities.
• Use and teach others to use the computerized maintenance management system for work orders, labor tracking, preventive maintenance, and reactive work.
• Respond to building system alarms, prioritizing protection of the critical load, equipment safety, and incident prevention.
• Perform critical switching, lockout/tagout, and safe work-area setup for maintenance and subcontractor activities.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors and maintain high workmanship and safety standards.
• Support capacity planning, KPI management, work order control, and operational reporting.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in Tier 2, Tier 3, or Tier 4 data centers, operations and maintenance, or building engineering.
• Journeyman-level electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/R skills gained through technical training, an associate degree, or technical facility maintenance experience.
• Experience with CMMS platforms, work order control, subcontractor and vendor contract management, KPI management, and capacity planning.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment alarms through system interfaces and stabilize operations until specialized technicians arrive.
• Strong communication, customer service, problem-solving, decision-making, PC, Microsoft Word, and Excel skills.
• Availability for 24/7/365 work, emergency corrective maintenance, and extended onsite hours during events such as hurricanes.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Visio and AutoCAD.
• Experience with hand tools, test equipment, maintenance shop practices, and electrical and mechanical equipment systems.
