Command Center Technician

Location: Kenilworth, New Jersey, United States. On-site presence in the Command Center is required for the duration of each shift.

Salary: $75,000–$100,000 base salary per year, plus potential bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Conduct scheduled remote rounds and continuously monitor global data center infrastructure through BMS, EPMS, DCIM, and telemetry platforms.
• Monitor electrical, mechanical, cooling, environmental, and fire/life safety systems, including UPS units, generators, switchgear, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, and pumps.
• Tri­age alarms, initiate response actions, escalate incidents, and coordinate resolution across on-site operations, engineering teams, leadership, vendors, and contractors.
• Dispatch and remotely support technicians during incidents and planned maintenance while enforcing SOP, MOP, EOP, change-management, and safety procedures.
• Maintain event logs, status updates, shift handovers, work queues, and technical documentation; support root-cause analysis with timelines, logs, and alarm histories.
• Make timely decisions under pressure while prioritizing safety, uptime, and operational continuity.

Requirements

• On-site work in Kenilworth, New Jersey, with a permanent 12.5-hour night shift on a fixed 2-2-3 schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled information is required through U.S. person status, an applicable authorization exemption, or reasonable eligibility for export authorization.
• At least 2 years of experience in mission-critical environments such as data centers, utilities, or industrial operations.
• Foundational knowledge of data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure, plus experience following SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs.
• Experience with monitoring tools, ticketing systems, operational dashboards, incident management, troubleshooting, escalation, telemetry, alarm behavior, and trend analysis.
• Strong written communication, organization, prioritization, and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.

Nice to have

• Four or more years of mission-critical experience and prior hyperscale or large-scale data center experience.
• Hands-on electrical or mechanical systems experience, including UPS, switchgear, generators, chillers, or CRAC/CRAH units.
• Familiarity with BMS, EPMS, DCIM, centralized Command Center or NOC operations, and distributed multi-site fleets.
• Relevant data center operations, electrical/mechanical trades, or mission-critical facilities certifications.
