Senior Functional Analyst

Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates from California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, or Washington will not be considered.

Salary: $78,167–$103,855 annually

What you will do

• Lead the capture, analysis, documentation, validation, and change control of business, functional, technical, and non-technical requirements.
• Collaborate with customers, business users, product owners, IT teams, systems engineers, leadership, and contractors.
• Manage epics, sub-epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, backlogs, tests, defects, risks, and traceability in JIRA.
• Facilitate user interviews, backlog refinement, requirements workshops, process modeling, and Sprint activities.
• Track and report program and product execution metrics across the Agile and SAFe development lifecycle.
• Serve as a product functional subject matter expert and mentor junior analysts.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required; must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance and pass the applicable government investigation.
• Ten years of professional experience; a master’s degree in engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline is required.
• Strong software development background and experience with Agile and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies.
• Expertise with JIRA and advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel.
• Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, communication, customer service, and requirements integration skills.
• Experience with large Agile software development or data integration projects.

Nice to have

• Experience with the VA Veterans Independence Program, VA SQA testing, or a Federal Health Agency.
• Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master certification.
• Healthcare billing and claims processing application knowledge.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
