Head of Engineering, Supply Chain (Java)

What you will do

• Own the technical strategy and architecture for inventory, logistics, and repair management software supporting millions of POS terminals.
• Lead an engineering organisation of approximately 25 engineers across management, QA, SRE, and Data Engineering.
• Drive the platformisation of supply chain systems so operational data remains visible, trustworthy, and consistent across markets.
• Define architecture standards, engineering processes, and quality metrics focused on reliability and data integrity.
• Translate operational requirements into scalable engineering solutions with business and operational stakeholders.
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineering managers and senior engineers as the organisation grows beyond 30 members.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years leading engineering teams through growth phases.
• At least 5 years of hands-on, production-level Java development experience.
• At least 5 years managing managers and leading engineering organisations through multiple leadership layers.
• Deep experience with supply chain, inventory, warehouse, or logistics software at scale.
• Strong backend engineering, distributed systems, large-scale system design, and data-intensive operational systems experience.
• Experience managing engineering teams of 20 or more members, plus strong stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Fintech or regulated-industry experience, particularly in payments and device management.
• Experience with product-minded approaches to solving operational problems through engineering.
