Critical Environments Operator III (Data Center Operations)

Location: Whitney, Texas, United States; onsite data center role with availability for 24/7/365 operations and extended onsite hours during emergencies

What you will do

• Perform operations and maintenance activities for critical data center and assigned building systems.
• Track preventive and reactive maintenance, labor hours, and work orders in the CMMS.
• Respond to building system alarms, protecting the critical load and supporting root cause analysis.
• Perform critical switching, lockout/tagout, and safe work-area setup for maintenance and subcontractor activities.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors and verify safe, high-quality workmanship.
• Support emergency corrective maintenance and comply with company, client, government, and EHS procedures.

Requirements

• Journeyman-level electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/R skills obtained through technical training, an associate degree, or facility maintenance experience.
• 5–7 years of experience in Tier 2, Tier 3, or Tier 4 data centers, operations and maintenance, or building engineering.
• Experience with CMMS and work order control, subcontractor and vendor management, KPI management, capacity planning, and reporting.
• Ability to use hand tools, test equipment, personal computers, Microsoft Word, and Excel; knowledge of equipment operations and maintenance shop practices.
• Ability to respond to alarms, troubleshoot systems through graphical user interfaces, and stabilize operations until specialized OEM technicians arrive.
• Strong customer service, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and workload-management skills; willingness to work onsite during emergencies.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Visio and AutoCAD.
