Logistics Specialist (Renewable Energy)

Location: On-site in Portland, Oregon; relocation assistance to Portland is available if needed.

Salary: $28.00–$36.00 per hour, plus company equity.

Renewable energy and ocean technology company developing ocean-based hardware for low-cost renewable energy and fuels.

What you will do

• Manage receiving for freight, parcels, courier deliveries, and purchase-order materials, including inspections and discrepancy reporting.
• Organize, label, store, audit, and cycle-count inventory while keeping physical materials aligned with digital records.
• Pick, stage, deliver, repackage, bag, tag, and kit parts and hardware for manufacturing work orders.
• Pack, label, document, and coordinate outbound shipments while maintaining shipping records and supporting export compliance.
• Help create warehouse procedures, layouts, and material-flow strategies as operations scale from prototypes to production.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and leadership, with potential growth into a lead or supervisor role.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in logistics, receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, or material handling.
• Hands-on experience with unloading, receiving, stocking, picking, and packing.
• Forklift certification or at least 2 years of forklift experience, with strong safety awareness.
• Familiarity with email, spreadsheets, labeling tools, and ERP, WMS, or interim inventory systems.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods; valid driver's license required.
• Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, self-direction, and a process-oriented mindset.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of multifunction warehouse experience.
• Experience implementing or transitioning between ERP or WMS systems.
• Aerospace, defense, or hardware manufacturing experience, including familiarity with technical components.
• Experience creating SOPs, process documentation, or warehouse layout improvements.
• Interest in leadership and mentoring.
