Sr Inventory Accountant

Location: Headquarters - Katy, Texas, United States; regular in-office attendance is required

What you will do

• Lead complex inventory accounting activities and serve as a senior process leader.
• Manage month-end and year-end close activities, financial statement preparation, and advanced analytical reviews.
• Identify trends, anomalies, and risks affecting inventory balances and financial reporting.
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and data-quality enhancements using ERP systems and Excel.
• Lead cross-functional projects, support audits, and translate financial data into actionable business insights.
• Collaborate with Inventory Accounting, General Accounting, Finance, Operations, systems, data partners, auditors, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Advanced knowledge of US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, and financial controls.
• Experience with large ERP systems, complex financial analysis, advanced Excel, and data-analysis automation tools.
• Strong project leadership, process-improvement, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work regularly from the Katy, Texas headquarters and support business needs outside normal business hours when required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or CPA license.
• Retail inventory accounting experience.
