Senior Accountant

Location: Tysons, Virginia; office work 4 days a week

Base salary: $100,000–$115,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Execute month-end and quarter-end corporate close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules.
• Support foreign subsidiary accounting, FX translation, intercompany reconciliations, settlements, and international consolidations.
• Support inventory accounting, cost of goods sold calculations, inventory reserves, and physical inventory counts.
• Maintain the fixed asset subledger and prepare stock-based compensation entries under ASC 718.
• Support flash reporting, flux analysis, controls documentation, audits, board materials, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, FP&A, HR, Legal, AP, Tax, and Payroll, while reviewing staff accountant work and providing guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and the financial close process.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Ability to manage recurring close deadlines, prioritize work, investigate variances, and operate independently.
• Sponsorship of new applicants for employment authorization or other immigration-related support is not available.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or CPA eligibility.
• Public accounting and corporate accounting experience.
• Experience in SaaS or subscription technology, SOX-compliant environments, inventory and cost accounting, fixed assets, or stock-based compensation.
• Experience with multi-entity consolidations and intercompany eliminations.
• Interest in automation and Artificial Intelligence tools.
