Segment Business Controller - Testing & Calibration

Location: Marietta office, Marietta, Georgia, United States. Primarily office-based, with periodic visits to testing laboratories, calibration facilities, and operational locations. Travel, including overnight travel, is required based on business needs.

What you will do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for the Testing & Calibration segments.
• Oversee financial statements, operating metrics, reporting, accounting estimates, and complex transactions.
• Partner with segment, corporate, operational, sales, and regional leaders on financial strategy and business performance.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, pricing, profitability, margin improvement, and long-range planning.
• Support acquisitions, integrations, restructurings, audits, risk management, and continuous process improvement.
• Drive working capital, collections, billing timeliness, cash flow, internal controls, and finance team development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 5 years leading business unit, divisional, or segment financial operations.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS, internal controls, financial reporting, and complex accounting issues.
• Advanced ERP, financial reporting, business intelligence, Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and business analysis skills.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to travel to company locations and work effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Nice to have

• CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent professional certification.
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Experience in testing, calibration, engineering, industrial, or professional services environments.
• Experience supporting acquisitive growth organizations.
