Senior Functional Analyst

Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates from California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, or Washington will not be considered. U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary: $78,167–$103,855 per year

What you will do

• Lead the capture, analysis, documentation, validation, and change control of business, functional, technical, and non-technical requirements.
• Conduct user interviews, facilitate refinement sessions, develop process models, and elaborate user stories with acceptance criteria.
• Manage requirements, epics, backlogs, test cases, defects, risks, impediments, and traceability in JIRA and other ALM processes.
• Coordinate with customers, product owners, business stakeholders, systems engineers, developers, and contractors to assess impacts and clarify requirements.
• Track and report Agile program and product metrics while supporting Scrum and SAFe delivery.
• Serve as a functional subject matter expert, mentor junior analysts, and help remove impediments affecting sprint completion.

Requirements

• 10 years of professional experience; a master's degree in engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline is required.
• Strong software development background and experience with Agile and Scaled Agile Framework methodologies.
• Expertise with JIRA and advanced Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving, research, documentation, and customer service skills.
• Experience with large Agile software development or data integration projects.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in an Agile environment, Veterans Independence Program knowledge, or VA SQA testing experience.
• Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master certification.
• Experience with a federal health agency, healthcare billing, claims processing, or related applications.
