Operations Manager (Remote Camp Setting)

Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; travel throughout Northern Manitoba is required. The role is 75% or more field-based, with remote camp sites reached by air travel or shuttle, and follows a 2-weeks-on/1-week-off rotation.

Salary: CAD 75,000–100,000 annually.

What you will do

• Oversee multiple contracts and field operations across the region.
• Lead, mentor, train, and manage field leadership teams.
• Plan and execute regional business plans, budgets, and operational improvements.
• Build client relationships and identify and implement new business opportunities.
• Monitor safety, quality, customer service, financial performance, compliance, and employee development.
• Strengthen community relations, including Indigenous relations, and coordinate with regional and head-office stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of remote camp operations or comparable experience.
• Proven leadership, people management, financial management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience in multi-unit management, hospitality, or hotel operations is an asset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging, change-oriented environment and solve complex operational problems.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug and alcohol testing.
• Willingness to travel throughout Northern Manitoba and work nights, weekends, weekdays, and holidays as required.

Nice to have

• Post-secondary education in management, hospitality, culinary management, business, or a related field.
