Management Trainee (Automotive Recycling)

Location: Onsite at 160 Dowty Rd, Ajax, Ontario, Canada, with work at different locations throughout Ontario

Salary: Up to CAD 70,000 yearly, plus a year-end performance bonus

Kenny U-Pull, a division of American Iron & Metal, operates automotive recycling yards across Canada and supports the reuse of vehicles through recycling and retail operations.

What you will do

• Rotate through call center, dispatch, vehicle purchasing and sales, marketing, customer service, operations, systems, training, and health and safety functions during a development program of up to six months.
• Gain hands-on experience in yard management, depollution, retail operations, vehicle purchasing, and sales transactions.
• Coach, mentor, and support frontline employees while helping maintain operational efficiency and service quality.
• Support workplace accident and injury investigations, document findings, and contribute to corrective action plans.
• Ensure required documentation, systems access, processes, and regulatory requirements are completed accurately.

Requirements

• Graduation from college, university, or trade school.
• 5–10 years of experience in retail and/or customer service.
• 3–5 years of experience managing a team.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and professional email etiquette.
• Excellent organization, time management, prioritization, analytical, critical-thinking, and logical-thinking skills.
