Senior Functional Analyst

Location: 100% remote within the United States. Candidates from California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Washington will not be considered. U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary: $78,167–$103,855 per year

What you will do

• Lead the capture, analysis, documentation, validation, and change control of business, functional, technical, and non-technical requirements.
• Collaborate with business users, customers, product owners, systems engineers, IT teams, leadership, and contractors.
• Manage epics, sub-epics, user stories, backlogs, acceptance criteria, requirements, tests, defects, risks, and impediments in JIRA.
• Facilitate user interviews, backlog refinement, Agile requirements sessions, process modeling, and Sprint activities using Scrum and SAFe.
• Track traceability between requirements, test cases, risks, and project artifacts while reporting program and product execution metrics.
• Mentor junior analysts, serve as a functional subject matter expert, and support teams in understanding detailed requirements.

Requirements

• 10 years of professional experience; a master's degree in engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline is required.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for or ability to obtain a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance are required.
• Strong background in software development and Agile or Scaled Agile Framework methodologies.
• Expertise with JIRA and advanced Microsoft Office experience, including Excel.
• Excellent analytical, written, oral communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Experience with large Agile software development or data integration projects and the ability to conduct independent research.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Federal Health Agencies, VA SQA testing, Veterans Independence Program, or healthcare billing and claims processing applications.
• Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master certification.
• Additional Agile environment experience.
